Vehicle Condition Assessment

Vehicle Condition Assessments assess the condition of your vehicle between its mandatory Certificate of Fitness (CoF) inspections.

It makes sense to assess the condition of your vehicle between its mandatory CoF inspections.  The last thing you need is to be pulled up in a roadside Police inspection (CVIU) for faults that you could have easily fixed.  These may be recorded against you in the NZ Transport Agency's Operator Rating System and that may cost you money down the track and affect your company reputation.

To give you flexibility and to ensure that you only pay for what you want, we are offering a choice of options.  Your Vehicle Condition Assessment lists the items inspected and records items requiring attention.

Our customers often call the Vehicle Condition Assessment a "pre-CoF". We think you're better off regularly scheduling this halfway between the CoF inspections but hey, you're the customer - you tell us the timing that suits you and we'll do the inspection!

Premium Vehicle Condition Assessment

Our Premium Vehicle Condition Assessment includes all the items that would be regularly inspected in a CoF inspection plus:

  • We will check the validity of Registration and Road User Charges labels
  • We check engine oil and coolant levels
  • We check for fluid leaks
  • We check all your lamps (including non-mandatory lamps)
  • We offer general advice on the condition of the vehicle and suggested preventative maintenance

Priority Vehicle Condition Assessment

Our Priority Vehicle Condition Assessment is targeted at the essential safety issues that often result in a CoF or Roadside Inspection failure:

  • Brake Performance and Air System
  • Lamps
  • Steering & Suspension
  • Wheels/Tyres

Brake Performance Vehicle Condition Assessment

Our Brake Performance Vehicle Condition Assessment is a test and record of the performance of your vehicle's service and park brakes.  This is the number one safety and compliance issue.
