VTNZ Training

VTNZ is at the forefront of vehicle inspection training in New Zealand.  We pride ourselves on ensuring our staff have the skills and knowledge necessary to serve our customers to the best of their ability.  As a result a wide range of internal and external training courses have been developed and implemented across the business. This is further supported by team or individual coaching from managers and in-house business specialists.

The key focus for the Training & Development team is to ensure that all staff are able to undertake their role to the best of their capability and to the standards set by NZTA. Alongside this we support VTNZ’s strategic goals and business culture. In addition to technical training soft skills training is provided.  This includes communication and leadership skills courses.

Learning can take many forms and does not always consist of attending a training course. Aside from courses on the job training is an integral part of our day-to-day operations. The Training & Development team provide the tools necessary for continuous education including skill workshops, development pathways, personal action plans, self study training programs and skill check questionnaires. Personal development is a joint responsibility.  Every staff member at VTNZ is encouraged to be proactive about their own personal development.

VTNZ also carries out specialist courses for vehicles that may not require CoFs (such as forklifts and off road vehicles) as the vehicles still require to be maintained to a safe standard of operation.  For further details please contact your VTNZ Station Manager or Karen Bleach-Wood, Training and Organisational Development Manager, phone 04 494 9523 or complete this form and one of our Training and Development Specialists will get back to you soon.
