Red Book vehicle valuation certificates are:
- instant and all online – there is no need to wait while someone looks at the vehicle, done within seconds. The certificate is emailed straight to you. There are two valuation figures given on the certificate – trade-in and private sale. Trade-in is the expected price given if sold to a car dealer (traded in); Private Sale is the price you would sell the vehicle for if sold to another private person.
- the industry standard in New Zealand; there is no other comparable service available.
- the certificate is often used by both the seller and buyer of a vehicle. In the case of the seller, to verify their selling price; in the case of the buyer to understand if the selling price is acceptable.
- updated regularly. 80% of the total vehicle models represented in Red Book’s database have their values (prices) changed each month.
