As the leader in vehicle inspections, for both small and large vehicles, VTNZ is viewed by the industry as the expert in safety inspections for heavy vehicles (those over 3500kg). Part of our service is to offer brake testing between Certificate of Fitness inspections as well as a full Vehicle Condition Assessment for those who are interested in more than just their brakes.
VTNZ played a major role in the implementation of the New Zealand Government's Road Safety Initiative regarding testing the brakes of heavy vehicles in-service on New Zealand roads over the past couple of years with all stations testing to the new laden brake test Rule by June 2009. VTNZ offers a roller brake performance test for trucks
If you want to get your truck, bus or heavy trailer checked before its Certificate of Fitness is due, come to VTNZ and, for a small fee, we can check your brakes for you.
We also carry out full inspections (called a Vehicle Condition Assessement) at most CoF B stations.
