Silverdale is a fast growing area of Auckland. By opening now, local residents have another, more convenient, choice for their Warrants of Fitness and can get an extra Check-Up of their tyres, battery and fluids to make sure their vehicle is safe for the summer holidays. VTNZ Silverdale also offers Pre-Purchase Inspections. If you’re planning to buy a used car, VTNZ’s experts can give it a thorough inspection so you don’t buy a lemon. You can even book it online and VTNZ will email you the report - very handy if you’re buying a vehicle out of town.

Local businesses will benefit too. Mike Walsh, Chief Executive, VTNZ said “Nearby VTNZ stations in Kumeu and North Shore are often busy and we know how important it is to minimise down time for businesses. Due to increasing demand we have opened a new station to help them save money by reducing the wait time.”

The testing station is a large two lane station with the ability to carry out safety inspections on heavy vehicles such as trucks and trailers as well as doing first class Warrants of Fitness for the many locals in the area. The new testing station is fully compliant to test to the Heavy-Vehicle Brake Rule, which means the station staff can simulate a load within the lane (trucks don't have to come in laden for testing).

VTNZ Silverdale is located at 5 Furnace Place (off Forge Road) in the established and growing industrial area of Silverdale. You can’t miss us – look for the big, bright orange building. We’re open Monday to Friday 8am-5pm and Saturday 8am-1pm. No bookings required. Come on down and check us out for fast, friendly and expert service.
