Our new booking system for Pre-Purchase inspections started in Auckland on the 20th September and has been rolled out to 58 stations nationwide.
At the VTNZ Shop, you can purchase VTNZ Roadside Assistance (available since February 2011) AND you can now book a remote Pre-Purchase Inspection for that car you've seen on Trade Me or Turners.
This means you don't have to travel to a different town or city to know whether the car is worth bidding on. Just ask the vendor what booking time suits him or her and they can take it to the VTNZ station on your behalf. The emailed report wings its way to you after the completion of the inspection - complete with photos - for only $135.
Or, if you have seen enough photos online, you might choose our "Mechanical PPI" which focuses on whether the vehicle is mechanically and structurally sound and costs only $100. What a great price for peace of mind!
